We're so excited to celebrate with you at the Bark Eater Inn in Keene, New York on October 17th. Since the venue is out in the Adirondack mountains, here's what you need to know to get here without any trouble.
Bark Eater Inn 124 Alstead Hill Lane, Keene, NY 12942
Note: depending on your GPS or map app, this address might show up as Alstead Hill Road instead of Lane. Either one will get you to the right place. Please download the maps prior to your departure as you are almost guaranteed to lose cell service on your way up.
The Inn is about a two hour drive north of Albany, just outside the village of Keene. The reception will be held in a tent next to the Inn, and the ceremony will take place at the Wedding Knoll on the property, about a ten minute walk from the Inn. We'll post a map of the property here so you know exactly where to go.
There's parking at the Inn, but space is very limited and double parking might be required. If you're coming with other guests, please try to carpool if you can and ensure you know who you are parking in if double parking becomes necessary.
If you'd like a ride to and from the wedding, just reach out to us and let us know where you're staying, and we'll help arrange it. Ubers are sparse and unreliable in this area, so if you are the kind of partier that likes to spend your time close to the open bar, we'd really encourage you arrange a ride with the most trusted DD in your family, or let us know so we can find you one. Nobody wants you to test your driving skills up against dark, winding mountain roads after one too many of the couple's signature drinks.
If you are not partaking in the adult beverage shenanigans and you'd rather drive yourself, just know the roads up here very windy, so give yourself some extra time to arrive.
Earlier is always better! Please plan for generous buffer times as wrong turns are easy to make in this region, especially without reliable cell service. A great time to shoot for on your GPS ETA is 2:30-2:45 to ensure you are parked and walking down to the wedding knoll by 3pm at the latest. This will allow you to navigate roads, parking, the walk down to the wedding knoll, and all the pictures you take of the scenery along the way.
Once you arrive at the wedding knoll, you will meet our very official and well renowned wedding security (Theodore) and he will confirm if you are on the guest list or not. He also might even show you to your seat if you are a VIP.
Just remember, no funny business gets past Theodore!
